But it's great anyway. Also good sandwiches. Get the pretzel bread roll.
Nope—this bakery does not specialize in allergy-friendly baked goods, just your standard (excellent) cafe/bakery
Nice coffee shop / bakery in a rather busy part of Cambridge. Good pastries and coffee. Somewhat limited seating space
Decent pastry. Awesome sandwiches.
Best smoked salmon sandwich I’ve ever had. I went back for a second time this week to get it again. Donuts are also delicious. Can’t reccommend this place more!
It's pretty good, the menu is a little hard to read. It's not usually very busy which is nice.
I went in here for breakfast on a Saturday before I was heading to a conference. I had about 20 minutes and figured I could get in and out pretty quick since I was the first one there, but it took about 25 minutes to get my poached eggs. The food was fine, although the eggs were more hard boiled than poached.
Quaint bakery tucked away along Mass Ave
Great food, great people. Especially good bread and mocha! Could use faster/more reliable wifi.
Delicious doughnuts, good MEM teas, decent space to hang out.
I have tried this place so many times over the last 10 years and I am always disappointed. They always take forever to make anything. My order is wrong just about always and I have been overcharged more times then I can say. Why do I keep going you ask. It is convenient for my commute and I make the mistake about every 6 months thinking maybe this time. What is finally prompting me to write a review was the purchase of a sausage breakfast sandwich that get to work to discover no sausage was put on my sandwich. No they did not mention to me any reason not too have included after paying $8.25 for it. Now I am at work and am just annoyed. I will hopefully not make this mistake of returning to this Cafe again.
Great sandwiches on their own homemade bread. On a chilly snowy day try one with a bowl of their very own beef stew. Trust me, its delicious and will warm you down to your toes. I just wish they would stay open later.
Fabulous new spot for me... AMAZING coffee and baked treats ... Work of local artist on walls ... Comfortable and UNpretentious ..W.O.W!! My new FAV COFFEE SHOP in Cantabrigia!!
They work with zero urgency at this place. Don't come here if you expect to get your order within a reasonable period of time. Ordered a simple oatmeal that took 15 minutes of waiting before I had to ultimately leave. And that was with only no other customers in line, and 2 baristas standing around. I'm only forced to come here since it's the closest place from work, but do yourselves a favor and go to literally any other coffee shop on Mass Ave
Ehhh... nothing special, kinda expensive and they close at 6. I don’t know about anyone else but 6 is kind of an early close time to me, especially when it’s located between two major universities. Also, they started putting up all the chairs before 5:30 - which makes me feel like I have to leave before I’m even done my $5 tea. Probably wont come back...
I'm going to start coming here all the time. They have a large number of places top sit, and I was happy to snag this front window nook with their potted plants. They have a full breakfast and lunch menu with coffee and baked goods. Not as standout as Flour or Tatte, but overall a great spot.
I used to enjoy this little bakery but the sandwiches and coffee have both gone downhill but the prices are still on the rise. The lattes are ter and the toast for the eggs with is not toasted and stale...
Homey oatmeal bread, good latte, and a decent curry chicken sandwich. Sandwich could use more chicken. Side of croutons is cute, but I need more variation on my plate.Later comment: I love this spot for work or reflection. Thanks for being here, Mariposa!
Cozy, if you prefer great baked eats in a more realistic atmosphere. The modern competitors are pretty but bland. Scones (my preference) and other eat are probably better.
Rude staff. Got the order wrong.
Not too friendly place. Their chocolate scones are very nice, got goods chunks of chocolate in them and the dough is perfect in both taste and consistency. The meetball sandwich tastes fine and makes you full, however wouldn't come by just for a sandwich. The atmosphere is nice, I like the wooden ceiling. Okay cup of coffee.
Superb pastries, like you would dream of making at home. Fabulous breakfasts and sandwiches. I love the poached eggs with home made bread, also delicious oatmeal with pecans and currants. Can this be heaven??
I am hesitant to review Mariposa, because I am afraid it will be discovered by the masses. I love coming here for a great cup of coffee and the best scones in town. Visit early in the morning, while they are fresh, and make sure to try the London Fog as well.
Nice coffee and frittata, but very slow service. Our brunch was not much fun as we had to wait 20+ minutes between different people's orders.
This was the perfect spot for a quiet Sunday coffee and bagel. The staff was friendly and kind, the service was quick, and smiles were on every face.
Great tasting & high quality ingredients! Loved the quantity as well! Coffee like barista's quality! Will def. come back !
It was great, I had a smoked salmon bagel.
20% PRE tip but you still need to pick up your drink when ready? What would they do if you don't tip? (Disclaimer, I'm European). The best thing is that it was pretty empty...
A hidden treasure in Cambridge! Delicious pies, amazing coffee, and the best sandwich creations. Definitely worth a trip to Central Square. Plus they have a stand in Somerville at the farmer's market....which is how our pie obsession started.
Good coffee, good baked goods
I came in just before closing and they were running out of things, but they offered substitutions. :-) I like the low key ambiance.
Energy is always a bit off but the scones are great. I've tried this place since it opened ages ago...it's always felt a bit weird inside...maybe arrogant? Seems to make me cranky for some reason. But the scones are excellent and those are getting harder to find these days. I'd recommend taking out or sitting at one of their two sidewalk tables.
